Every Server database requires that you enter login and password before you begin working with this database. These logins and passwords are created with the help of AnyLexic Server Administrator, which manages these Server databases.
If you are unsure what login and password to enter, please contact the person in charge of AnyLexic Server you wish to connect to.
Note: If the server, you are trying to connect, is in Demo mode, available logins and their passwords will be displayed in your login window.
To connect to Server database located on User computer:
Server database is located on your local computer and called AnyLexic Server database.
| 1. | Click menu Database > Server on .... |

| 2. | In the AnyLexic window enter your Login and Password. |

Note: Your Login and Password for your local Server can be set in AnyLexic Server Administrator, Version 2.0 application located on your computer.
To connect to LAN Server database:
LAN Server Database is located on another computer located in your local area network (LAN).
| 1. | Click menu Database > Server: LAN. |

AnyLexic starts searching for the PCs in a LAN.
| 2. | After the LAN has been detected, select the PC where AnyLexic Server is located. Then click OK button to proceed. |

Note: Some of your network settings may not allow AnyLexic to obtain the list of your local PCs. In this case, please enter the network name of Server PC manually.
| 3. | In the AnyLexic Server window enter your Login and Password (provided by this server's administrator). Click OK button to proceed. |

If there is not LAN, you may specify your AnyLexic Server IP address using Database > Server: Internet menu. More...
To connect to Internet Server database:
Internet Server Database is located on another computer located in the Internet. AnyLexic Server IP address is required to establish connection.
| 1. | On the Database menu click Server: Internet. |

| 2. | In the AnyLexic window enter Server IP address and click OK button to proceed. |

Note: If AnyLexic Server firewall blocks your access, please make sure that port 3050 is open on AnyLexic Server PC. Also please make sure that AnyLexic and AnyLexic Server Administrator software are included into trusted programs list of your antivirus or firewall software.
Note: Type of the Database currently in use is displayed on the status bar in the bottom of the main window of AnyLexic.
If you want to change server database into local database, you just have to click Local on User on the Database menu and the operation will be performed immediately.
